This method originated from a method devised over 80 years ago by one of the first professional punters, and as far as I am aware the method has been in constant use by a few fortunate people since its introduction all those years ago. I believe that this rating system has more than stood the test of time!

The rating system has only ever passed on by word of mouth; in fact any interested parties were invited then at the sole discretion of the originator of the plan, along a series of presentations, paying a huge fee for each session.

They were very successful and these very fortunate people who attended went on their way armed with their new found knowledge and beat the bookmakers for many years to come

SELECTION METHOD

This system can be used with equal success during both the flat and national hunt seasons

All meetings are considered, but eliminate the following types of races:

Selling, Apprentice, Ladies, National Hunt Flat

All other types of races now qualify for consideration

Once we have our short list of races to concentrate on, take each race in turn and award form points for the last three running’s of each horse

THE FORM POINTS ARE AS FOLLOWS

EXAMPLE

HORSE A	012	FORM RATINGS	0 + 6 + 6 = 12

HORSE D	113	FORM RATINGS	3 + 6 + 3 = 12
HORSE E	212	FORM RATINGS	2 + 6 + 6 = 14
HORSE F	001	FORM RATINGS	0 + 0 + 9 = 9

As you can see Horse E is clear top rated with 14 form points

On the occasions when more than one horse is rated the same, take the horse with the shortest price in the betting forecast as your selection. Repeat the above procedure for all the qualifying races.

PSYCHOLOGY, RISK, AND BANKROLL MANAGEMENT

Personally I’m very risk averse. So by that I mean that I hate taking more risks than

most. For me, protecting my trading bank is absolutely key. I will not do anything which will jeopardise my trading bank, or a significant proportion of it. There are a number of factors that traders need to consider when calculating a viable amount to risk on a given trade, so that I don’t over-stake and risk great damage to my bank.

This Place Laying System is to be used on betting exchanges such as Betfair for laying horses to lose in the Place Market. It is very easy to follow and if used correctly it will make a healthy profit each month.

This is a good lay betting system to add to your portfolio and is probably the only place laying system we would recommend.

So here is the criteria below for the place laying system

RULES:

In this example we are going to be placing £100 bets

For use on UK Racing Only (Not Irish)

• We lay only in the place markets
• There must be between 5 and 7 runners only declared (This is very important due to places paid)
• Just before the start we lay the 1st and 2nd favourites only if the odds are in our favour as below
• We do not lay if liability on both horses is over £180
• If there are 2 joint 2nd favourites, lay the one that started 2nd favourite first, if both had same price lay the shortest one in betting. This will very rarely apply

So for example - 

In a race we have -

Authorized 1.35
Yellowstone 2.15

This would give a total liability of £150.

If Authorized gets placed and Yellowstone does not you will win £100 on Yellowstone but lose £35 on Authorized, so a profit of £65. Obviously if Yellowstone gets placed and Authorized does not you will lose £15.

If both horses on place which happens a hell of a lot you win £200

But if……..

Authorized 1.70
Yellowstone 2.20
Your liability would be £190 so no bet would apply. There is no value in this bet!

Often you will get both horses trading at around 1.25 and 1.35, you will be surprised at how often 1 or both are unplaced. I follow this system everyday and it does show decent long term profits. The place market is often very slow in forming so its best to wait near the start of the race before placing your bets.

So How Do You Pick A Losing Horse Quickly

So here is the system

1. Go to the first race of the day and then continue to follow the selection process below with the next race.

2. Only consider races with at least 8 runners. If there are less than 8 runners. Go back to step 1 and move onto the next race. If there are 8 runners or more, move onto step 3.

3. If there are 8 runners, you need to look at the three horses with the lowest odds. If all three of these horses have odds of less than 6, then move onto step 4. If one or more of the top three horses have odds of MORE than 6, then go back to step 1.

4. Now look at the 4th, 5th and 6th horse in the race in order of odds. If one of these horses has odds of between 9 and 11 then lay them. And move onto step one no matter what to move onto the next race.

This method does sound extremely easy, and as if it won’t work, but if you follow these instructions, you will have a strike rate of between 90% and 98%.

LAY CORRECT SCORE 0-0 STRATEGY

Lay correct score 0-0: It rarely happens especially with teams with blasting attacks like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Inter, Milan, Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea etc. 

Those teams rarely finish their games 0-0 irrespective if they draw, lose or win. So I have been looking closely for this kind of bet. 

At Betfair you may 
1) back 1 or more goals to happen in a game with odds always around1.05, or 
2) lay correct score 0-0 at odds always around 12. 

The two above are basically the same. The problem of Option 1 is the little profit that you get, and with option 2 it's the huge liability it incurs if the game would really finish 0-0. 

Last week I did some statistics of around 200 matches picked randomly from a scores site, and basically I included all matches (even there where japanese teams etc.). The draw 0-0 only happened 16 times from those 200 games, so a very nice 92% strike rate. I believe that if you are more selective, this may easily go up to 95%-98% When I evaluated the 0-0 scores, most of the 0-0 draws were lower division teams unknown to me. 

When I assumed a starting stake of £5 and following a very basic staking plan with lay odds of 11, after 200 matches the betting bank had become£582! What a nice profit. 

The problem with this system is that the liabilty is so high if you are unlucky enough to hit a 0-0 game even with high scoring quality teams. 

Just last saturday I started this system with real money and bet on Man Utd, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Roma, Barcelona and their games all had a lot of goals, so I won the bet. 

83 min Betfair Lay System

Im sure you will have tried many systems in the past and will have let you down no doubt. I have been there myself.

But time after time of being let down I decided to start some research myself to see if I could find a system that earns some money. This does not involve the usual rubbish of doubles, trebles, away trixie or banker bets it is so much simpler than that.

For a couple of weeks I didn't place any bets which was unusual as I would back most weekends on horses, football, golf etc....During these few weeks I started to notice one distinct pattern emerging in football matches so I decided to take some time to research it further.

Following this research I was quiet surprised to see how often this pattern was emerging. I went back between 8-12 months worth of premiership matches to confirm my findings.

OK, that’s enough of the background. Here is the system that I use week in week out on Premiership, Carling Cup, FA Cup and Champions League matches. It can be used on any league so long as the game will have betting in running on Betfair. All Premiership, FA Cup, Carling Cup and Champions League have in running betting. This bit is important as it allows us to trade during games.

On any given Saturday for example I have a look at the fixtures list:

I do NOT place any bets at the start of play as my system needs the game to take shape before I implement it.

I wait for the 83th minute to come up in the game:

And if at this point the match is a level i.e 0-0, 1-1 2-2 etc I LAY £100 on the draw on Betfair. I usually get odds of approx 1.05-1.10. Which give me a liability of between £5-£10. But should one of the team score a late winner which happens a lot more than people think you have made a clear £100 profit for a very little outlay.

Or if one tem is winning by only one clear goal I LAY the team winning.

Example: If Liverpool are playing Man City. Liverpool score in the 63^rd minute to take a 1-0 lead. Now if everything stays at 1-0 or if it went to 2-1 at the 83^th minute I go to Betfair and LAY £100 on  Liverpool at odds of approx 1.05-1.1. Again my liability is only between £5-£10 and if Man City do score a late goal to make it 1-1 or 2-2 etc I win myself £100 clear profit.

Example of this system I used last weekend.

Fulham v Man United

This game was 1-1 going into the 83^rd minute, so it was now time to implement my system. I got on Betfair and LAYED £100 on the draw at 1.08. This gave me a liability of £8. Not too bad. But when a certain Christiano Ronaldo popped up with a 90^th minute winner for united I made a handy £100.

Blackburn v Arsenal

I also used this game to implement the system as it was 0-0 at the 83^rd minute. So again I got on to Betfair and LAYED £100 on the draw at odds of 1.09. My liability was £9. But again the system won as Benni McCarthy grabbed a winner in the 86^th minute.

From these two examples shown I sure you will agree that this is a good system and will deliver profits. It will not win every match but as long as you get at lest 4/5 out of 10 up which should generally happen you will make plenty.

If you wanted to increase the odds of winning you could wait until the 75^th minute and then execute the system if the scoreline will allow. i.e if its 2-1 3-2 0-0 1-1 3-3 4-3 etc. which you will get more bets up the liability will also be a bit higher. I myself stick to the 83^rd minute and then if the scoreline allows for the system to be implemented I go for it.
